More about me

There are some activities outside of work that truly enrich my life and bring me joy! I love exploring nature on walks with my wife and our, lovable scruffy rescue dog from South Africa. I'm also passionate about golf and guitar, and I thrive on diving into the exciting world of software development and AI!

As for my professional life, I offer psychotherapy for adult individuals and couples. My therapeutic approach is primarily grounded in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), which I integrate with Schema Therapy and BrainWorking Recursive Therapy (BWRT®) to provide a nuanced and effective therapeutic experience. My style is collaborative, focusing on developing a strong therapeutic alliance and tailoring treatment to each client’s unique context and needs.

My master’s research concentrated on the role of self-awareness in integrating disparate components of the psychological self. A case study methodology was employed to investigate an individual’s self-discovery process through a Schema Mode Therapy approach.

My doctoral research, entitled “Minding your own game: Self-regulation and psychological momentum among golfers,” encompassed the following components: a conceptual analysis of psychological momentum, a mixed methods study exploring self-regulation strategies employed by golfers during momentum phases during gameplay, and a staggered multiple-baseline single-case research design employing mixed methods to examine the role of mindfulness in ego-regulation and psychological momentum experiences among golfers.
